A few days ago, Dr. Alberto Herreros de Tejada travelled to Warsaw to participate in the Advanced Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection Medical Expert Training of Olympus.
In this training course, organised by Profs. Michal Spychalski and Jan Pertkiewicz, Drs. Henrik Thorlacius, Arthur Raiter and Herreros de Tejada participated as tutors. Practical sessions were held with students from Eastern Europe and Asia, helping to perfect their skills in the technique of Endoscopic submucosal dissection.
The Endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) it is a Advanced lesion removal procedure of the oesophagus, stomach, colon and rectum. Thanks to this technique, performed through a High-quality endoscopy, it is possible to avoid surgery and achieve healing.
